SiteHQ practical guide

CPP versus RAMS

How the project-wide construction phase plan differs from task-level risk assessment and method information.

The short answer

The CPP describes how the construction phase will be planned, managed, monitored and coordinated. RAMS usually describes the hazards, controls and method for a particular activity or work package. One does not replace the other.

A realistic example

The CPP may set the site-wide arrangements for an office strip-out. The electrical subcontractor RAMS then deals with its isolation and removal sequence within those arrangements.

How SiteHQ supports the workflow

SiteHQ keeps the project CPP, task RAMS and trade records linked but separately versioned, reviewed and acknowledged.
